Cano is getting the job done even without a mustache. Hitting .522 (12-23) since all star break and driving in some important runs last night are signs of things to come. This last week moved his avg up to .263 and it looks like he isn't going to stop anytime soon. If he keeps this up Cano will show the rest of the AL why he is a .339 hitter in the second half._____________________________________
As trading deadline is coming close the Yankees are showing interest in Seattle lefty Jarrod Washburn. His numbers are nothing to go crazy about but an interesting note is his 2.82 ERA in 6 games at the stadium. Going into a new stadium with the same dimensions as the last might be the reason Cashman has been looking at him.

The Giambi Mustache Squad loves Posada. But having him at DH/1B without power is a waste of a spot. Putting 2009 at risk just to have him in the line up would have been a bad idea. The choice to take him out and go through with surgery was a smart move. We don't believe Molina will make us forget Posada's bat, but his defense this year can make up for his bad hitting. Ill take a catcher that can throw over a catcher who doesn't catch.
